Since Alpha was going to get expelled, everyone thinks that Frankie will. Then, Matthew visits her in the infirmary and she tells him that it was her all along.(Falling Action) Matthew then turns Frankie in to the headmaster. (Rising Action) Alpha gets blamed for carrying out all the pranks and is about to get expelled.(Climax)In the sub-basement trying to pull a prank, Frankie burns her arm on a pipe and ends up in the infirmary. Frankie has been pretending to be Alpha, and sending E- mails to the Basset Hounds to carry out all of these pranks. She comes up with a plan to try and get noticed by the Basset Hounds. Frankie finds out about this society and wants to be a part of it.
You find out that they are in a secret society called the Basset Hounds. It turns out that Matthew is friends with the guy she met on the beach (Alpha).
When she gets back to school that year, she starts dating this guy named Matthew. There, the main character Frankie, meets a strange boy but doesn't get his name (Hook). T he Disreputable History of Frankie Landau- Banks starts off on a family vacation at the Beach.
