There is one of those things listed above that people have said I shouldn’t write about because I’ve never experienced it. I’ve never been a cop, IT guy, nurse, parent, single parent, alcoholic, teenage girl, elderly man, elderly woman, born again Christian, graphic designer, social worker, office manager, graduate student studying history, head of a medical supply company, sales rep, retired rock star, or accountant.īut I have written about all of those things.Īnd, you know what, no one has ever complained that I write about professions I haven’t performed or demographics I’ve never had a member of my family murdered, kidnapped, beaten, or arrested for a major crime. I’ve never murdered someone, kidnapped someone, beaten someone, or killed someone. His new book, Bring Her Home, debuts today.
